How to use All-In-One-SEO

There are a number of on-page ranking factors that will make your Wordpress blog better for your bottom line.  You can visit Options - All in One SEO from your blog’s admin area to tweak the default settings.

• Titles

  Have you even gone to a website only to see the title bar showing the word ‘index’? Well that’s not good optimization of the title is it. Use this plugin to say what you want to say on your title bar.You need to know that the text you see in your browser’s title bar is the most important thing on that page. Be sure your titles are displaying what you want with more than just your site name or company name.Your title bar or title tag should be using a key phrase so the search engines know exactly what your page is about. Leave the post titles as it is but change the meta title.

• Descriptions

  When you find a site in a search engine it’s usually the description tag you see in the listing. Well that’s if the site owner took the time to use the meta tag. Nothing is more sad than to be found on the first page of Google without a proper description. Quite often this will mean those searching will look at your listing and just pass on to the next one in the list.A good and relevant description can make the difference between getting visitors and not getting visitors and that can mean you earn a living online or just wishing you could.

  Many people consider the meta description useless these day. Well that just means I get more attention while people searching the engines pass them by.

• Keywords

  All in One SEO Pack can generate keywords from your categories (this was the old way of tagging your posts in wordpress). Using your categories is optional, the rest is auto-detected and used if there.

Per Post/Page Tweaking

From within the post creation page there is a collapsed area named All-In-One-SEO. you can open it and tweak the title, keywords or descriptions. It can be done this way but mostly the descriptions can be auto-generated or taken from the post-excerpt.

Keywords on the other hand should be generated by tags and categories.

Note: The title can only be tweaked here, and this is a very powerful way to optimize your posts and pages.
